Botanical characteristics
Shrub about 1 meter tall with long pointed thorns, 2 to 3 pairs on each branch, petioles reddish-brown. Single, dark green leaves middle line of red card The inflorescence emerges at the end of the branch. The inflorescence is 8 cm long. The bracts are reddish-brown, quite round, and the petals are orange. The fruit is an oval pod.
